HSL Protection is a Maine-based private security firm providing executive protection, threat and site assessment, estate security, and event security services to clients across New England and beyond.

We are founded on the understanding that real security is methodical, discreet, and intelligence-driven. Our team brings certified professional credentials and operational experience to every engagement — not titles and uniforms.

In addition to operational services, we run a professional training division — delivering certification-track programs in executive protection, personal defense, and firearms through our partnership with SRT Concepts.

The Latin phrase Hic Sunt Leones — "Here there be lions" — was written by cartographers on maps where the terrain was unknown and dangerous. It is a reminder that the world contains threats that are real, that preparation is not paranoia, and that those who step into uncertain terrain should do so with their eyes open.

The partnership allows HSL Protection to offer a complete spectrum of training — from EP doctrine and personal defense mindset to range qualification and force-on-force tactics — under a single, coordinated program structure.

Students who complete the HSL Protection EP Fundamentals program have the option to integrate SRT Concepts firearms and tactics curriculum into their certification track.
